Services

Crystal Window Services for New York Properties

What we coordinate from the first site visit through final install, adjusted to the building and any compliance requirements in front of us.

We start with a site review of your existing openings and building conditions, then help you work through which Crystal product line fits your performance requirements, budget, and any code obligations tied to your project. Many of the Crystal installations we handle involve coordinating documentation for energy code compliance or funding requirements, on top of the usual product selection and scheduling work.

Once a product's confirmed, we manage ordering, installation, and final review, and we handle repair and maintenance work on existing Crystal installations as well. For occupied buildings, that means working around residents, tenants, and building operations, not around ours.

Code & Compliance

NYC Compliance and Energy Code Considerations

Requirements vary by building, funding source, and scope.

NOTE

Crystal windows are commonly specified to meet NYC Energy Code requirements, and many of the projects we handle also need to account for Local Law 97 emissions and performance standards, particularly on larger multifamily and institutional buildings. Depending on the project, Department of Buildings permits may apply as well.

Affordable and government-funded housing projects often carry their own documentation and approval requirements on top of standard code compliance. We go over what applies to your building and funding source before work begins, rather than assuming every project follows the same path.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Five questions we hear most often.

Q1Are Crystal windows good quality?
Crystal Window & Door Systems has manufactured windows and doors since 1990 and is one of the more widely used lines on multifamily, institutional, and affordable housing projects across NYC. Quality comes down to the specific product line and how it's installed as much as the brand itself, we'll walk you through which Crystal line fits your building's performance needs.
Q2How long do Crystal windows last?
Lifespan depends on the product line, installation quality, and building exposure, but vinyl and aluminum windows from established manufacturers like Crystal typically hold up for decades with normal maintenance. We can go over expected performance for the specific line you're considering.
Q3Is Crystal Window & Door Systems manufactured locally?
Yes. Crystal manufactures in Flushing, Queens, along with additional plants outside New York. That local presence can mean more direct communication and shorter lead times on larger orders.
Q4How much do Crystal windows cost, and are they worth it?
Pricing depends on the product line, size, glass, finish, quantity, and installation method, so costs vary a lot project to project. Crystal tends to sit in a competitive range for the performance and code compliance it offers on multifamily and institutional buildings. We provide project-specific quotes so you can weigh cost against what your building actually needs.
Q5How does Crystal compare to other window brands?
Crystal is a strong fit for multifamily, institutional, and affordable or government-funded housing, where NYC Energy Code compliance and value matter most. Other manufacturers we work with, like Marvin, are better suited to architecturally demanding or landmark projects. We'll help you weigh the options against your building's actual requirements.
