Services

Window Services in Manhattan

What we cover from the first site visit through final install or repair.

We start with a site review of your existing windows. Then we help you pick a product that fits your building, your budget, and any approval steps that apply.

Once a product is picked, we handle ordering, installation, and a final walkthrough. We also repair and maintain windows that are already installed. We work around your schedule, not the other way around.

Landmark & Co-op Considerations

Co-op Boards and Landmark Review Come First

Board approval and historic review often shape the timeline more than the window itself.

NOTE

Most Manhattan buildings are co-ops or condos, which means most window projects need board approval before anything else happens, and city permits may apply on top of that. Buildings in a historic district face an extra layer of review too, called Landmarks Preservation Commission review, and it applies to any exterior window work. That step alone can add real time to a project.

We plan for these steps from our first conversation instead of treating them as an afterthought. A lot of these buildings end up needing storefront, curtain wall, or window wall systems from our manufacturer partners, and if your building has been through a window project before, we can often work from whatever the board already approved.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions we hear most often about Manhattan window projects.

Q1Do I need co-op board or Landmarks Preservation Commission approval for a window project in Manhattan?
Many Manhattan buildings are co-ops or condos, so board approval usually comes before anything else, and buildings in a historic district may also need Landmarks Preservation Commission review. We check what applies to your building before work begins.
Q2How long does Landmarks Preservation Commission review usually take?
It varies by district and by how much is changing on the exterior, so we can't promise an exact number upfront. What we can do is build that review into your project timeline from the first conversation, instead of leaving it as a surprise after materials are already ordered.
Q3Can I replace windows in a Manhattan co-op without going through the board first?
Almost never. Most co-op and condo buildings require board sign-off before any window work starts, even for minor repairs in some buildings. We can help put together the materials your board typically asks for, which usually speeds things up.
Q4How much does window replacement cost in New York?
Cost depends on the window type, size, material, glass, and how many you need, plus how hard the opening is to reach. Since those factors change so much from one building to the next, we give project-specific quotes instead of a general price range that wouldn't really apply to your job.
